I feel this deeply. I have many friends who work in Christian ministry, while I’m one of few working in a messy, people-oriented, secular environment (social work, specifically). Sometimes friends vent about tertiary theological disagreements with people in our own church group, and I’m there thinking, “I’m just excited to meet a coworker or client who actually follows the Lord!” Their criticisms can feel so petty when I’d be thrilled to see a basic biblical worldview and allegiance to Jesus in my workplace. I’m so thankful for the theological leadership and nuance they provide the church, and at the same time think they can probably also benefit from some of the balance I bring as well.

I will never not need this reminder; so grateful for advice that keeps on giving. Also I'm super stoked about your upcoming spiritual gifts study!!
